So the first entry went a lot smoother than I had thought. Although how clean cut, and concise the thought may be, is debatable. I was thinking of what I wrote in the previous blog, and was connecting that idea with art and music. I was thinking of all the different styles of music there are, as well as the arts. I was actually comparing this to the different cultures that different people come from. Lets start with music. I feel as though it is somewhat of a gateway to a certain culture. It can tell the creative mind certain characteristics and, perhaps on a deeper and more spiritual level, the feelings and emotions of different cultures. Not to say that the style of music is a definitive way to know how a person from a certain culture is feeling, or going through, but its a piece of their culture that indeed tells us something. As is with the different artwork that comes out of a certain cultures, however it is a visual representation this time around.
I find this most interesting because all artistic pieces that come out of the different parts of the world, visual or music, are quite different in different degrees of the spectrum. Trying to find an explanation, or knowing exactly why, or even assessing this can be quite difficult, if not impossible. At the same time we do find underlying factors why certain cultures are the way that they are. And sometimes its incredibly arbitrary. But I find myself speculating this a lot, as I link it with my immediate life and the individuals that I interact with from different cultures.
